People who live in large cities don’t have opportunities to encounter wild animals in their surrounding environment. For that reason in the some cites you have the opportunity to pay a ticket and enter the animal kingdom. The kingdom of animals in the city is called the zoo where you can see all kinds of exotic animals. Such places are the perfect way for you and your kids to see some animals that you wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to see. Zoos are a great place which you can visit and have a wonderful day with your loved ones. However, some people disapprove of keeping the animals behind the lock. They believe that animals should run wild in the wilderness. In any case take a look at some of the coolest zoos in the world.

Singapore Zoo


Singapore Zoo is also known as Mandai Zoo occupies 28 hectares. You will have your hands full while trying to see everything in one day. You can try to visit the Jurong Bird Park in the morning, the Singapore Zoo in the afternoon, and the Night Safari in the evening. The animals are kept in spacious enclosures. You will be able to do many fun activities like “Breakfast with an Orangutan” program. This program allows visitors to meet and interact closely with the orangutans in the zoo. You will also have a ride of your life whether you decide to go by tram, to ride a certain animal, or to go by boat. One thing is for sure, you will remember this experience till the rest of your life.

Toronto Zoo

Toronto Zoo is the largest Zoo in Canada, covering 287 hectares of land. It is divided into six zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Australasia, Eurasia and the Canadian Domain. It has more than 16,000 animals. 491 distinct species reside in this magnificent zoo. This zoo inspires people to respect and protect animals. Zoo Diaries were taken in this zoo, representing a deep connection between animals and their keepers. In such a way they wanted to show the unique bon people have with animals they care for.
Schonbrunner Zoo, Austria

This is not an ordinary zoo; this is a zoo that will take your breath away. It is one of the few zoos in Europe, where you can meet the cure panda bears. This zoo has a historical character since it was built in the surrounding 18 century buildings. Near the Zoo there’s a wonderful maze for you to get lost in. The zoo is a home for Koalas, Kangaroos, Tigers, Lions, Monkeys, etc. It is one of the biggest zoos and it is very clean and wonderfully done.


Beauval Zoo, France

Zoo Park Beauval in central France is a tourist attraction no one should miss to see. You can see some rare animals including white lions and white tigers. There are 410 big cats in this zoo. You can start your visit as early as 9am and leave at nightfall. In this zoo 160 babies are born each year. This zoo was opened in 1980 so can you count the number of baby-animals that came into world in this zoo.
Basel Zoo, Switzerland

Basel Zoo is the oldest and largest zoo in Switzerland. It is a home for over 6,000 animals. The attraction of this zoo is the rare dwarf hippopotami. In the zoo you can also take a tour in the aquarium where you will be able to see over 5,000 different animals, including charming penguins. It was opened in 1874 and is today the second most visited attraction I |Switzerland.



Animal Kingdom, Orlando Florida

Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is one of 4 Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Even though it is a part of Disney Theme Park the zoo keepers are making sure that the animals feel as if they were in their natural habitat. It is divides into seven parts. In each part you can see exotic animals. It is the largest animal-themed park in the world! There are over 1, 700 animals from 250 species in the Animal Kingdom. But that’s not it. There are hundreds of fish and bird species that think of this place as their home.
